Leader bios:
Mary Jo and Kevin Smith:
Mary Jo and Kevin Smith have been married 32 years and with a daughter, Hannah and new son-in-law, Alex. They have been members of Emmanuel Lutheran for 2 years, but have known Pastor JJ since he was a young man at Berkeley Hills Lutheran Church.
Mary Jo was born and raised in Etna and attended Thiel College majoring in Medical Technology. She works at UPMC Children's Hospital in the clinical Microbiology Lab. She enjoys cooking, baking, gardening and their two puggles, Sam and Dewey.
Kevin attended CMU graduating with an architectural degree in 1983. He met Mary Jo while she completed her clinicals at West Penn Hospital. Since that time they have made their home in the North Hills. Kevin is Director of Architecture for Extech Corporation and enjoys woodworking, painting, and home renovations. He enjoys his wife’s gourmet cooking along with racquetball to burn off those delicious calories!
